Urological is the adjective from urology — the branch of medicine that deals with the urinary system in everybody, and with the male reproductive organs as well. So urological describes anything belonging to that branch: a **urological examination**, **urological surgery**, a **urological condition**, a **urological ward** in a hospital. It is a specialist word — you will find it on hospital signs, referral letters, and in medical writing, and almost never in ordinary conversation, where people just say "a kidney problem" or "a bladder problem". Note that it does not describe a person; the doctor is a (a noun), and the department or the problem is urological. You may also see the shorter form **urologic**, especially in American medical writing — the two mean exactly the same thing.
