A travelogue is a film, a talk, a book or an article in which someone tells you about a journey they took — where they went, what they saw, who they met, how it felt. The key thing is that it follows a trip. It is not just facts about a country, like an encyclopaedia; there is a in it, going from place to place. The word can mean the written kind (a travel book, or a long magazine piece) or the shown kind (a documentary, a slideshow with a speaker). It is a slightly word — ordinary people would more often say 'a travel show' or 'a travel book' — so you meet it most in reviews, in and on TV listings. People sometimes use it a little , too: if a novel wanders around describing scenery and forgets its story, a may say it 'reads like a travelogue'.
組成travel + -logue（來自希臘文 lógos「說、話語」）。原本是 Elias Burton Holmes 把 travel 和 monologue 混在一起造出來的字，指他一個人站著講旅行故事的演講。
