From French Tanger (Tangier, the Moroccan port) plus -ine: literally the fruit from Tangier, the harbour it was shipped out of. A place name became a fruit name, and then a colour name.
來自法文 Tanger，也就是摩洛哥的港口 Tangier，加上表示「來自那裡的」-ine。字面上是「丹吉爾來的果子」，因為早年這種橘子從那個港口運出去。一個地名先變成果名，果名再變成顏色名。
