核心畫面

One of the curved bones that arch out from your spine and come round the front of your chest. You can feel them with your fingers: a row of firm, evenly spaced curves, each one on its own but all working together to hold a hollow space open — the space where your heart and lungs sit. A useful way to picture the word is that curved bar in a row of curved bars, holding a shape open from the inside.
