A racialist is a person who believes some races of people are better than others, and who treats people unfairly because of that. It is also an adjective: racialist ideas, a racialist remark. In everyday English it means almost the same as racist — though actually, racialist is the older British word. British papers and schools used it for decades; American English moved to racist earlier, and racist is now the usual word almost everywhere. Some writers try a tidy split: racialism as the belief that human races are real biological groups, racism as hatred or unfair treatment. That split is neater than real talk. Most people, and most learner dictionaries, treat racialist and racist as the same serious, accusing word. You do not use it lightly, and you do not use it as a joke.
