From the word’s history

From Old French queste, from Medieval Latin questa 'search, inquiry', ultimately from Latin quaerere 'to seek, ask'. The word is seeking itself; the medieval sense of a knight's adventure gave it its long, heroic feel.

來自古法文 queste、中世紀拉丁文 questa(尋找、探問),最上頭是拉丁文 quaerere(尋找、探求)。字的核心比較像「找」,而中世紀騎士冒險的用法,替它添上了那股漫長、帶點英雄氣的味道。
