A physiotherapist is a trained health worker whose job is : they help people move again, ease pain, and get strength back after injury, illness, or an operation. They are not doctors who give most of the medicines or do surgery, and they are not the same as a , though they may use their hands. In hospitals and clinics they set exercises, guide walking, and use things like heat, ice, or machines when those help. In everyday English people often the job to physio — “I’m seeing the physio on Thursday.” The word is ordinary in medical talk and not fancy.
