From Middle English pharmacy, from Middle French pharmacie, via Medieval Latin, from Ancient Greek φαρμακεία 'use of drugs'.
源自中古法文 pharmacie，來自古希臘文「用藥」一字。
Picture the counter where medicines are made ready and handed over: shelves of boxes behind, a window at the front, someone measuring out what a doctor asked for. The word starts as that place, then stretches inward to the same counter inside a hospital, and outward to the whole body of knowledge behind it.
