A dispensary is a place where medicines are prepared and given out, especially in a hospital or clinic. After the doctor the order, this is the room or counter where you collect the pills, bottles, or cream. The word sounds a bit British and a bit old-fashioned; in many places people now just say pharmacy, or the hospital pharmacy. Though actually, you will still see dispensary on doors and in older hospital English, and it is not a shop you wander into for shampoo. It is about medicine being made up and handed over, not about browsing. A person or a machine that gives something out is a — that is a different word.
組成From the same family as dispense, in the older meaning "to give out." A dispensary is a place for giving out medicines.
