1. 1

Optically is the adverb — it tells you how something is done, or in what way it is true, when light, images, or seeing are involved. If two materials are optically the same, they look the same to the eye, even if they are made differently. If a film is stored optically, it is saved as tiny marks that light (usually a laser) can read, not as a magnetic pattern. The idea is the same family as optical; this form just fits a different slot in the sentence. Use it to modify a verb or an adjective (optically stored, optically clear), not as if it were an adjective itself.
