Optic is a formal, scientific word. It means 'about the eyes' or 'about sight.' You will almost never hear it in a shop; you will see it in hospitals and textbooks. The optic nerve is the line that carries messages from the eye to the brain. If that nerve is hurt, a person may not see well even when the front of the eye looks fine. Everyday English prefers eye: eye doctor, eye test, eye strain. Optic stays for the technical bits. It is close to optical, but not quite the same: optic to the eye itself, while optical often talks about light, lenses, and machines.
眼睛的、視覺的(書面;口語多直接說 eye)。常見於「視神經」optic nerve。
組成Borrowed from Middle French optique or Medieval Latin opticus, from Ancient Greek optikos, 'of or for sight,' from optos, 'visible,' plus -ikos, the ending that makes an adjective (English -ic).
