左外野
Stand at home plate on a baseball field and look out. The far left corner of the grass is a long way off, and the fielder standing there is the one you are least likely to be watching. Two things follow from that one picture: a ball can arrive from there before you see it coming, and a person standing there is far away from everybody else.

同一塊場地,兩個角度。看「球從那裡飛來」,講的是事情來得突然;看「人站在那裡」,講的是想法離大家很遠。介系詞就是分界線:out of 對前者,out in 對後者。
