    If something is interesting, you want to give it your attention, because it seems unusual or , or because it tells you something you did not know before.

    「interesting」說的是「它抓住了你的注意力，讓你想知道更多」——可能因為它很特別、很刺激，也可能因為它講了你本來不知道的事。它跟 fun 常常都被翻成「有趣」，但兩個抓的點不一樣：fun 是「玩得很開心」，interesting 是「我還想再聽下去、再看下去」。一場演講可以很 interesting 卻一點都不 fun；打水仗可以很 fun 卻沒什麼 interesting。可以想成：interesting 就像有一條線把你的注意力輕輕拉住，讓你捨不得走開。

You can picture it as something that keeps pulling your attention back: your eyes and mind stay on it a moment longer than you meant to, because it is strange, , or tells you something you did not know. 'Interesting' describes the thing doing the pulling, not the person being pulled.
