    Intensification is when something grows stronger in degree, or when someone makes it grow stronger. Rain can turn toward a storm by intensification. A government can order an intensification of checks at the border. News and science like this word: fighting, pain, colour, and even feelings can all see intensification. It does not say if the change is good or bad — only that the degree went up. In everyday talk people often say “it got stronger” or “they it up,” and keep intensification for a more formal, noun-shaped way to name that rise.
