If a part of your body is inflamed, it is red and swollen — often hot and sore — because it is or fighting an infection. An inflamed throat, an inflamed cut, inflamed gums, an inflamed . This is ordinary medical English; a will understand it at once. The body has sent extra blood and extra defences to that spot, so the place looks angry even when you are not. Though actually, the verb can be about feelings, but calling a person “inflamed” to mean angry sounds odd. Keep this adjective on the body.
