    Encrypted is the describing form of : the file, the message, or the disk has already been put into that special code that only some people can read. You hear it on phones and in news about privacy. “End-to-end encrypted” means the service in the middle is not supposed to be able to read what you sent — only the two ends can. Though actually, people also say encrypted as a comfort word, and not every lock is as strong as the word makes it sound.
