    To put cloth or something soft over or around something, so that it hangs down loosely instead of lying flat or being folded.

    drape 的重點在「鬆鬆地垂下來」：外套往椅背上一搭、圍巾往肩上一披，布自己順著形狀垂著，不拉平也不摺好。跟 put 或 hang 比，drape 多告訴你布是軟的、線條是垂的，動作也很隨意。句型上它後面幾乎一定接 over／around／across ＋ 地方，被動 be draped over 也非常常見。

    To cover or something or someone with a large piece of cloth, so that the cloth hangs over it.
