A dogmatist is the person: someone who is completely certain of their beliefs and expects other people to accept them without arguing. If you disagree, a dogmatist may treat you as wrong or , not as a person with another view. The -ist ending points to the human being, the way a is the person who plays. It is a critical word. People rarely call themselves a dogmatist with pride; it is a name you give to someone else. It is fairly formal, more in writing and serious talk than in casual chat.
