    Colitis is an illness in which part of the colon — the large bowel — swells and becomes sore. It can bring pain, , and sometimes blood in the stool. It is a doctor’s word. There are different kinds; ulcerative colitis is one you may hear in health news. It is not colon cancer, and it is not the same as a baby’s , though both words point at the bowel. People live with it; it is not a casual tummy upset.
