worth being treated as · adjective · C1
Good or important enough to deserve to be thought about or treated in a certain way.
Picture weighing something to see if it comes up to a line: is there enough here to deserve respect, attention, support? Worthy is the verdict that it does come up to the line. English then hangs several fixed phrases on that verdict, including a joking one people use to praise a friend.

joking: not worthy · adjective · C1
Used in a joking way to say you feel it is a great honour to be near someone very skilled or famous.
