A paper (or now usually an electronic record) that travels with goods being shipped and says what they are, who sent them, where they are going, how heavy they are, and often what they are worth. It is a business and transport word, not one you meet in daily conversation. If you work in shipping, logistics, or an office that sends things abroad, you will see it constantly — 'air waybill' for goods going by plane is so common that people just say AWB. The number on it is what you type into a website to track a parcel. One useful point for anyone in trade: a waybill is normally not a document of ownership. The bill of lading used at sea can be handed to someone else to transfer the goods; a waybill just names the person who will receive them and travels along as a record. Because of that, a sea waybill makes delivery faster but gives the seller less control.

貨運單、託運單；空運的叫「空運提單」(air waybill, AWB)。跟海運的 bill of lading（提單）不同——waybill 只是隨貨的紀錄文件，不能拿來轉讓貨物所有權。
