A shipwright is a skilled person who builds ships or repairs them. This is an old trade word, and it still sounds proud. Wright here means a maker, not “write with a pen.” You hear it in history, around wooden boats, and in yards that still treat building as a craft; a huge steel yard may just say shipbuilder or worker, but shipwright names the making skill itself.
