To serialize a story is to print it or broadcast it in several separate parts, not all in one go. A magazine serializes a novel when it puts out a bit in each issue. Radio and TV serialize stories the same way, week by week. The word is a little formal. In everyday talk people say bring it out in parts or run it as a series. Though actually, if you hear serialize at work now, it is often the computer meaning: to turn information into a line of data a program can store or send. Same spelling, different job. Here we mean the story.
