Serialization is when a story comes out in several separate parts, not all at once. A newspaper may print one chapter each week. A radio or TV programme may broadcast one piece at a time. People in publishing and broadcasting use this word; it sounds a little formal. At home you would more often say it comes out in parts, or it runs as a series. The thing you get, week by week, is a serial. Though actually, these days you will meet serialization even more often in computer talk, where it means turning data into a form a machine can save or send.
