Right-wing describes a person, party, paper, or idea on the right side of . School dictionaries often say this means support for capitalism: private companies, markets, and a smaller state. That is part of the truth, and it is the sense this entry is for. Though actually, people stretch the word. They may also mean traditional social values, a strong army, tough law and order, or national pride — and those do not always come in one bundle. A right-wing camp in Taiwan is not a of one in the US or in Europe. The name comes from the seating in the French parliament after the French Revolution, when people who backed the old order sat to the right of the chair; wing here is a side of a group. It can be a plain label or a shove in an argument. Far-right is the extreme edge; right-wing by itself is wider, and not automatically extreme.
right-wing 用來形容政治上偏右的人、政黨、報紙或想法。一般的解釋是支持資本主義，也就是支持私人企業、市場，以及較小的政府。這是它的一部分意思，也是這個詞條要講的意思。它也可能指傳統的社會價值、強大的軍隊、嚴格的治安，或國族自豪，而這些不一定綁在一起。例如「a right-wing camp」，台灣的右派陣營，就不等於美國或歐洲的翻版。
