A resonator is a part — or a whole extra piece of kit — that makes a musical instrument louder by catching the vibration and sending more of it into the air. It is not an electric plugged into a wall. It is the hollow body, a metal cone, a tube, that “sings with” the string or the voice and pushes more air.
A resonator is共鳴器是 a part一個零件——or a whole extra piece of kit或是一整個額外加裝的裝置——that makes a musical instrument louder它讓樂器變得更大聲,by catching the vibration and sending more of it into the air做法是接住振動、把更多振動送進空氣裡。It is not an electric amplifier plugged into a wall它不是那種插在牆上插座的電子擴大機。It is the hollow body它是那個中空的箱體、a metal cone金屬錐、a tube或一根管子,that “sings with” the string or the voice會跟琴弦或聲音一起「共鳴」,and pushes more air把更多空氣推出去。
On a guitar or violin, the wooden body is doing this job. A resonator guitar, the metal-bodied kind you hear in old blues, has spinning metal cones inside on purpose so a quiet string can fill a porch.
On a guitar or violin在吉他或小提琴上,the wooden body is doing this job做這個工作的就是那個木頭箱體。A resonator guitar一種叫resonator guitar的吉他,the metal-bodied kind you hear in old blues就是你在老藍調音樂裡聽到那種金屬箱體的吉他,has spinning metal cones inside on purpose裡面特意裝了會共鳴的旋轉金屬錐,so a quiet string can fill a porch好讓一根很小聲的弦也能讓整個門廊都聽得到。
Though actually, engineers use the same word for any box or cavity that loves one pitch and rings it back; in this sense, though, it is the bit on an instrument that makes the sound carry.
Though actually不過,engineers use the same word工程師也用同一個字 for any box or cavity that loves one pitch and rings it back指任何偏愛某個音高、會把它共鳴回響的箱子或空腔;in this sense, though不過在這裡這個意思上,it is the bit on an instrument that makes the sound carry指的是樂器上讓聲音傳得更遠的那個部分。
