"Resonant" describes a sound that is full, deep, and seems to keep going a little, as if it fills the room — think of a deep voice, a church bell, or a low musical note. It can also describe an idea or feeling that strongly connects with people, sometimes called "resonating" with an audience: "her speech was resonant with the crowd," meaning it really moved them and felt meaningful.
