Resentment is the feeling itself: anger that stays because something seems unfair. You feel resentment toward a person, or resentment about a situation. It can be small and private, or it can grow in a whole group. It is a common noun in news, in stories, and in grown-up talk. Though actually, resentment is often quiet. People may smile and still feel it. It is heavier and longer than I'm , and less hot and sudden than rage. You build resentment over time when a slight, a rule, or a bit of unequal treatment is not put right. Let go of resentment is a set way to talk about putting that feeling down.
