If a problem is remediable, people can still put it right — a mistake you can correct, an illness doctors can treat, harm that can still be repaired. It does not say the problem is small; it only says it is not too late. The word is rather formal and . In everyday talk most people just say “we can fix this” or “this can be treated.” You will meet it in reports, law, and medicine more than at the dinner table. The opposite idea is irremediable: too late, or too deep, to fix. Though actually, some speakers stretch remediable to mean “not that serious,” which is a little loose — the word is about whether something can be put right, not how big it is.
