The adjective — and sometimes a noun for a person — for that claimed mind-over-matter power: moving solid objects with the mind alone. A psychokinetic ability, a psychokinetic scene in a film. Like psychokinesis, it lives in stories and in disputed research, not in ordinary hospital medicine. If someone is described as psychokinetic, the claim is about moving things, not about being mentally ill — though actually the first half looks like the slang insult psycho, and that is a trap. The word can also be used, more rarely, as a noun for a person said to have that power.
