The claimed power of moving solid things using only the mind — no hands, no tools. Some people believe it is possible; most scientists say there is no good evidence, and treat it as a hope or a story, not a fact. You meet it in films, in talk about special powers, and in a disputed field called parapsychology. People also say telekinesis for almost the same idea. It is not the same as telepathy, which is the claim of reading thoughts, not moving chairs. Do not hear psycho- here as crazy; in this family of words it means mind.
