1. 1

A projectionist is the person whose job is to show films by running the — the machine that throws the picture onto the screen. In an old cinema this meant reels, watching the lamp, and changing rolls at the right second. The word still fits anyone who operates that machine, even when the “film” is a file. It is a job name, practical and a little old-room in feel, because so many cinemas now push a button more than they handle reels. Though actually, it is not the person who “projects” feelings, and not the office worker who makes number projections. Those are different uses of project.

    放映師(操作放映機、負責放電影的人)
