From Greek poiein 'to make, compose' -> poiema/poema 'a thing made, a creation.' A poem is literally something crafted — words built into a made object.
源自希臘文 poiein(製作、創造)→ poiema/poema(被造出來的東西)。所以一首 poem 本義就是『一件被做出來的作品』——把文字刻意打造、排列成一個成品,和『用心經營文字』的核心畫面相通。
