This word is about teaching — not just “being a teacher”, but the way teaching is done. A pedagogical question asks how we help people learn. A pedagogical method is a way of teaching: pictures, games, lots of talking, or a careful mix of all three. Teachers, writers of school books, and people who study education use it. It sounds formal. You will meet it in university classes and in papers about schools, not much in everyday chat. Though actually, people sometimes stretch it to mean “good for learning”: “a pedagogical choice” can just mean “we chose this so students would learn better”. It is not a rude word, and it is not a fancy way to say “strict”. Do not mix it up with , which looks a little like it but means “too about tiny rules”.
