    The past tense and past participle of 'pay': it means money was given for something at an earlier time.

    paid 是動詞 pay 的過去式和過去分詞，講「之前付了錢」。pay 是不規則動詞，過去式不是 payed 而是 paid，這點要特別記。它用在簡單過去式（I paid yesterday）和完成式（I have paid）裡，意思都是錢已經給出去了。
