Ovaltine is a brand of sweet brown powder with cocoa and malt. You mix it into hot milk or hot water and drink it as a warm chocolate-malt drink. Families often give it to children in the evening, and the old advertising said it helped you relax and sleep — though actually that is more a bedtime habit than a medical fact. You can mix it with cold milk too. The Swiss name was Ovomaltine; Britain and many other places shortened it to Ovaltine. The first part ovo- pointed to egg, because the early recipe used egg as well as malt. In Taiwan the same drink is sold as 阿華田, so students often know the taste long before they know the English name. It is a brand, so we keep the capital letter.
