Oil-fired means a machine or a heating system burns oil as fuel to make heat. An oil-fired boiler or oil-fired heating burns heating oil to make hot water or warm air. It is the same idea as coal-fired or gas-fired. You see it on houses, ships, and power stations, in practical, slightly careful English. It does not mean the thing is on fire, and it does not mean food cooked in oil.
「oil-fired」指機器或暖氣系統用油當燃料來產生熱，例如燃油鍋爐或燃油暖氣，燒暖氣用油來加熱水或送暖風。它的用法是「oil-fired + 名詞」。燒煤、燒瓦斯的說法也是同一類，只是換了燃料。
這個字多用在房屋、船隻和發電廠，語氣實用、偏謹慎。它說的是燃料，不是油炸料理，也不代表東西著火了。
