Minnesota is a state in the north of the United States, along the border with Canada. call it a place of industry and farming, and that is still true: there are many dairy farms, so a lot of milk, and there is industry as well. It is also famous for lakes — the number plates even say Land of 10,000 Lakes. The Twin Cities, Minneapolis and Saint Paul, are its big urban heart. Winters are long and very cold. Though actually, “farms and factories” is the tidy old picture: today it is also known for hospitals and medical business, food companies, and outdoor life.
