關起來存放東西的空間
兩個意思差在空間的大小和放的東西,共用的是同一個條件:一個關起來、東西放進去就好好待著的地方。
storage locker · noun · A2
A small cupboard with a lock, in a school, sports place, or office, where you leave bags, clothes, or other things while you do something.
儲物櫃
Think of a `locker` as a space that is yours only while you need it, and that closes. The lock is the point: you put your bag, your coat, your skates inside, shut the door, and walk away knowing nobody else gets in. How big the space is stays open — a narrow metal door in a school corridor, or a whole cold room at the back of a restaurant — as long as it is a closed space kept for storing things.
