心思飄走的地方
最貼近那個哼歌變成的地方:被說在那裡的,是人的注意力或人的想法。
noun · C1
Used in 'in la-la land' to say that someone's ideas are far away from what is really happening, as if they were living in a made-up world instead of this one.
脫離現實
Think of the sound people make when they hum with no words — la la la — and then turn that sound into a place on a map. It is soft, pleasant, and nothing in it is solid. Whatever is said to be in that place has floated away from the hard world: a mind that has stopped listening, a plan that no real numbers support, even a whole city that is felt to be made of film and sunshine.
Wiktionary records one entry as la (a syllable used in singing) + land, and a second entry as a blend of LA (Los Angeles) with that same dreamland word.
Wiktionary 記了兩條:一條是 la(唱歌時用的音節)加上 land;另一條是把 LA(洛杉磯)跟前面那個幻想之地混成一個字。

洛杉磯的戲稱
這一支不是從幻想之地長出來的比喻,而是另一條造字路線;但因為混進去的正是那個幻想之地,它也就順便帶走了「不太真實」的味道。
noun · C1
A joking nickname for Los Angeles, the American city where films are made, used to suggest that life there is not quite real and the people there are a little crazy.
