1. 1

Joyful means very happy, or full of the kind of happiness that makes people light up — a joyful child, a joyful song, a joyful day. It is bigger and warmer than happy. Happy can be small (I'm happy with this sandwich). Joyful is closer to a celebration, a reunion, music, or a deep good feeling. A person can be joyful, and a thing can be joyful too if it is likely to make people feel that way. You hear it in stories, songs, and church talk, but also in ordinary talk about weddings and good news. It is not a cool or word; it is openly warm.

    喜樂的、充滿喜悅的(比「開心」更滿、更亮)
