Interdisciplinary means a piece of work, a class, or a team that pulls in ideas from more than one school subject. A project on climate might use science, geography, and economics together; that is interdisciplinary. A researcher trained in both medicine and engineering is working in an interdisciplinary way. The discipline inside the word is a field of study, not “being well behaved” and not “punishment.” Universities in particular love this word: they use it for courses, centres, and research that refuse to stay inside one department. Though actually, it is not the same as “many subjects on your .” Those subjects can still sit in separate boxes. Interdisciplinary means the boxes are opened and mixed.
組成From inter- (“between”) + disciplinary (“of a field of study”). A discipline here is a subject, not good behaviour.
