An indissoluble relationship cannot be destroyed or undone. Writers use it for ties that are meant to last: a marriage, a union, a bond between people or groups. It is a formal, word — law, history, and careful prose, not the playground. In everyday talk, people say “cannot be broken” or “for life.” Though actually, the older picture is of something that will not dissolve in water; English then used that picture for human ties. There is a chemistry use too (a thing that will not dissolve in liquid), but the sense here is the human one.
