    a small, simple building with only one or two rooms, often made of wood, bamboo, mud, or stone.

Picture a small building with one or two rooms and nothing extra — walls of wood, bamboo, mud or stone, a roof, a door, and that is about all. Enough to sleep in or keep tools in, not a place built to be comfortable.
