Horticultural is the adjective for horticulture: the work or science of growing flowers, fruit, and vegetables, usually in gardens, greenhouses, or small plots rather than huge farms. So a horticultural show is a plant show; horticultural tools are the tools for that kind of growing. It is a school-and-science word. At home people more often say garden or gardening. Though actually it sits next to agricultural: agricultural is fields and farms; horticultural is gardens and careful growing of plants for food or beauty.
