Gleefully tells you how someone does something: in a very , satisfied way. They clap gleefully, tear open a parcel gleefully, repeat the news gleefully. Same two flavours as glee: it may be simple delight, or it may be delight with a sting — someone gleefully pointing out your mistake. It is an everyday storytelling adverb, a little colourful, not stiff.
