If something is fraudulent, it is made or done to trick people, against the law, so someone can get money, power, or an unfair gain. We use it of acts, papers, claims, companies, and schemes: a fraudulent email, fraudulent accounts, a fraudulent company. It is a formal, court-flavoured adjective — stronger and more legal than 'dishonest' or 'fake'. Though actually, English more often calls the person a (or 'a fraud') and saves 'fraudulent' for what they did or made. You can call a person fraudulent, but it sounds a little stiff.
