Foppish is the adjective: a man, or his clothes and manner, looking like a fop’s — too dressed-up, too about , in a way that makes people smile or roll their eyes. A foppish hat, foppish manners, a foppish air. Same as fop, same slightly old-fashioned flavour. You can pin it on a style (“foppish ”) without naming one person. It is judging talk, more at home in novels and reviews than in casual chat.
