A flagged path, yard, or floor is one covered with — those big, flat stones laid down to walk on. You hear it especially in British English: a flagged courtyard, a flagged kitchen. Though actually, if you only know flagged from email and apps ("I flagged that message"), this sense will surprise you. Here it is not a piece of cloth, not a warning mark, and not "reported". It is about the ground under your feet. The stones themselves are flags or ; a place laid with them is flagged. It feels a little old-fashioned and house-and-garden, not street slang.
