    Fastidiously is the adverb of fastidious: you do something in that very careful, detail-loving, sometimes way. She folded the shirts fastidiously. He fastidiously wiped the rim of the glass before he sat down. It can sound like praise (nothing sloppy got through) or like a sigh (this is taking forever because every tiny thing must be right). Same spirit as the adjective, just telling you about the action, not naming the person. It is slightly formal. It still has nothing to do with doing something fast.
